Well, another late entry, but what the hell right?
Spent this off day with Fad. Don’t get wrong idea, but we’re both straight. Just two friends with a common hobby *photography*, spending an off day together. And we had the ASA Card. The places that we went to are in order and once again, the photos uploaded are my personal favorites. So, to hell with what you think.
Labrador Secret Tunnel.
This really was an interesting place to begin with. Situated at Labrador Park, it was an underground tunnel that the British used to store their ammunition. It was starting to drizzle when we got there but it was worth the wait. I never knew that there was more to what I’ve learnt in secondary school on the Japanese Occupation. I never knew that the bombings of Pearl Harbor was one of the strategy the Japanese used when they are on our land. Geesh.

Of course, Fad had to be my model for this outing.

A common shot when visiting the Secret Tunnel. Felt that I should have one in my archive too. So, here it is.
Singapore Flyer.
This is my very first time on the flyer and it really wasn’t that bad as I thought it would be. I mean, you have to be there to know, right? And there I was on the Flyer with Fad, both of us are like amazed with what was around us. It was a good 30 minutes spent snapping away and gawking at the view.

Once again, model for the day.

This would have been an ultimate favorite if the sun was setting was a clear day. Unfortunately, it was drizzling slightly.
Night Safari.
Night Safari was a random visit. Initially, Fad were supposed to go paintball-ing with the rest of the crew at Orchid Country Club. But, by the time we reached Yishun, it was raining so heavily that visibility was zero, on the road. We stopped for shelter at the first coffeshop we saw and waited for the rain to subside. With angry lightnings going off like my speedlite going out of control, paintball was cancelled. And both of us are still stucked at that coffeshop with nothing to do but coffee and ciggies.
It took awhile for the rain to cease and since we’re at Yishun and there are still time, we headed for Night Safari. The ride from Yishun to Mandai was one that I would never forget. It was superbly cold and we were soaked to the core. Numb fingers and shivering bodies. I would never want to land in that situation again.
Anyways..

One of my favorite animals, second to the penguins are these smelly but sleek creatures, the Otters. Flash photography was forbidden but I do had some sneak shots at one of the exhibits. This one is purely without the use of my speedlite and fully dependent on the lightings of the exhibit.

Well, I am too lazy to upload anymore pictures of Creatures of the Night; so I end the Night Safari entry with this shot. You could see these at the entrance of Night Safari.
Both of us had a blast at Night Safari. From covering the trails, to the suspension bridge to the Bats exhibit to the China tourist. It was a good day spent and an enjoyable one too, despite the weather not being kind to us.
I hope you guys enjoyed the the photos I’ve uploaded and please, you’re comments and critics on them are very much appreciated.
I end this entry with this..
“Haiyah! Don’t use frash ar! So naughty ar! &*$^@*#^%#.”
“Fuck, lady. You scared the shit out of me!”
“Sorry Sir, no flash photography.”
Afterall, we’re just humans, aren’t we?
I’m done for now.
